Because she is the only doctoral-level CSAT in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago, her services are often considered an "out-of-network" specialty.

Maximum Confidentiality: Insurance companies require a formal mental health diagnosis to justify payment, which becomes part of your permanent medical record. Paying directly ensures your treatment remains strictly between you and Dr. Braun.
Clinical Freedom: Insurance providers often dictate the frequency and length of sessions based on their own "medical necessity" criteria. Private pay allows you to utilize the full Recovery Toolkit and specialized protocols like EMDR at the pace your specific situation requires.
Protection for Sensitive Issues: For clients in high-responsibility roles, direct payment prevents sensitive diagnostic information from appearing on insurance statements that may be accessed by others.

Out-of-Network Options
If Dr. Braun is not in-network with your primary insurance, you may still be able to utilize your benefits:
Superbills: Dr. Braun can provide detailed clinical statements for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Case-by-Case Exceptions: Due to her unique doctoral credentials and CSAT specialization, some insurance companies approve her services as an in-network provider on a case-by-case basis.
Many clients find that by utilizing their out-of-network benefits, their final out-of-pocket investment for specialist care is comparable to a standard in-network co-pay

Payment Methods: Cash, checks, and all major credit cards are accepted.

Cancellation Policy: Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations to avoid being charged the full session rate.

Dr. Braun provides doctoral-level clinical therapy and assists with insurance coordination for residents in Frankfort, Palos Heights, Orland Park, Mokena, New Lenox, Tinley Park, Joliet, Plainfield, Lockport, Oswego, and Bolingbrook. Telehealth billing and secure virtual services are also available for clients throughout the state of Illinois.
